How much does Wildcard cost?
Wildcard is a completely free application.
Can I use Wildcard with any gift card?
Not yet, but we’re adding new retailers every day. If you have a retailer you’d like us to support, please email us.
Do I need an iPhone to use Wildcard?
Yes, you do need an iPhone, though we hope to add other devices in the near future.
Why do I need to call for my balance on some cards?
Some retailers do not yet support balance lookup, thus we are unable to provide this feature for their cards. As a temporary workaround, you can call the customer support number for your balance.
Why does the barcode scanner only work at some stores?
At the present time, only some merchant checkout systems have scanners that are capable of scanning barcodes on iPhones and other devices. Wildcard is working hard with our retailer partners to improve this situation and help modernize the gift card industry.
How do I use my card if there's no barcode?
Just double-tap the card to flip the card around. The back of the card contains your card number (and optional PIN). You can give this information to the checkout person to complete your transaction.
When I give a card to someone, do they need to be a Wildcard user?
No, they do not. When you send a card to a friend or family member, just enter their name, email address, and phone number. We'll take care of the rest.
Is it safe to store my credit card number in Wildcard?
Yes, Wildcard securely stores your credit card number with 256-bit AES encryption, and we never display the full credit card number. So, even if someone steals your phone, they will not be able to gain access to your credit card.
How can I delete my credit card number from Wildcard?
Just open the Settings screen, then tap on Billing Info, and you can remove the saved card.
How do I edit the card number or PIN on my card?
Open Wildcard, tap on My Cards, then tap on the Edit button in the upper right corner. Then tap on the card name to edit your card details.
Why can't I edit some of my cards?
Editing cards only works for cards that have been manually added to Wildcard. If you purchase a card from our Card Store, the card number (and optional PIN) cannot be changed.
